Praetorian Defense Solutions
An underfunded, overpowered Arma 3 Milsim Community dealing exclusively in excessive violence.

01 // UNIT_INFO

Praetorian was founded on July 19th, 2021. Our founders experience with traditional, serious milsim units, formed our unit's approach towards Arma of "Lets keep things real, but at the end of the day, it's just a game".

Here you will find:

  • No "Yes Sir/No Sir" nonsense
  • No addressing people by rank
  • No virtual pushups
  • Just Fun.

Praetorian's guiding principle, from day one, has been to foster a casual, non-serious interaction between members. This can very easily be summed up in four words: "Don't be a dick".

02 // OPERATION_SCHEDULE

Praetorian conducts twice weekly operations, framed within a D&D style narrative, and are managed by our Operations Team. This team's sole duty within the unit is to manage an evolving story based on the principle of "Actions = Consequences".

Operations Schedule:

Mid-Week Operation
Tuesday // 2100 - 2300 EST
Main Campaign
Friday // 2100 - 0000 EST

03 // ATTENDANCE_POLICY

While we have a very relaxed attendance policy. there are some requirements:

Active_Duty_Protocols
  • Inactivity for 1 month results in transfer to reserves.
  • There is no guarantee that you will get your old position back if you go to the reserves.
  • Exceptions can be easily made for extenuating circumstances, but they must be done prior to your transfer/removal. Just let staff know what's going on.
  • Corporals and above are required to attend at least 2 Friday operations a month.
Reserve_Protocols

1 month total inactivity = Removal.

Recruit_Protocols

Recruits are required to attend at least 2 ops during the first two weeks of joining.

Not meeting this requirement will be grounds for removal.

// EQUIPMENT_GUIDELINES

We operate a unique (to our knowledge) gear selection ecosystem designed to provide contractors with tangible progression and rewards for field participation. While basic soft goods are available per mission requirements, individual weapon systems are managed through a regulated internal economy. "Starter" weapons are provided to all members upon joining the unit, and are available for immediate use.

01 // THE_GUN_STORE

Frontline equipment, such as uniforms, vests, etc. may be selected by members "within reason" to suit personal tactical preferences.

Primary and secondary Firearms must be procured via our web-based catalog. Once a weapon is purchased, it is permanently assigned to your personnel file.

Our current inventory features 645 weapon variants, available on our website. Purchased weapons are available for immediate use, delievered via quantum teleportation, by a specialized group within our logistical support services.

02 // COMPLIANCE_&_EXCLUSIONS

!! PROHIBITED_HARDWARE_NOTICE !!

Certain items are prohibited to maintain mission balance and immersion. A comprehensive list of Banned Equipment and restricted thermal/night-vision optics is maintained within the unit Discord.

Members are individually responsible for ensuring their loadouts do not contain banned equipment.

"Friends of the Unit" status provides no salary and zero access to the Armory catalog.

Launchers and Heavy Ordinance are mission-specific assets and are available on a limited basis.
